15 Reasons to Call Tuscany Ridge Home According to Its Residents:
Reason #1
“When we first visited Tuscany Ridge it seemed an unlikely location. After driving through beautiful farmland and horse pastures untouched by the mass home developments, we were immediately struck by the unique home architecture and quality stone construction that complimented rather than overpowered the natural landscape.”
Reason #2
“We already knew the neighborhood was in an excellent school district, and close to all that Chapel Hill had to offer. But we were especially excited to find that the lots were large enough to provide privacy and allow creative landscaping, and yet were woven together by wooded common area which, through its meandering trails and recreation and gathering areas, encouraged interaction with neighbors rather than isolation.”
Reason #3
“The development is small enough for a true family neighborhood feel.”
Reason #4
“This was simply the only development we could find in the area where privacy and community were not at odds with one another.”
Reason #5
“We were excited to find a neighborhood where we wouldn't be subjected to the constant drone of nearby automobile traffic that seems ever so common even in the more desirable neighborhoods these days (who wants to be reminded of the rat race in their own back yard?), and yet a neighborhood surprisingly central to everything we needed and enjoyed, despite its rural surroundings.”
Reason #6
“Location Location Location: Duke University Medical Center is just a 22 minute drive to the Northeast via uncongested country roads; the culture of Carrboro and Chapel Hill a mere 15 minutes to the Southeast, and the quaint town of Hillsborough only 15 to the Northwest (and, nearby, the Triangle Sportsplex, The Eno River State park is just 20 minutes North. And last but not least, US 40 (the entrance is only an unimpeded 5 minute drive West) lead easily to 15/501 businesses (15 minutes total), the South Point Mall (20 minutes), RTP (22 minutes), the airport (25 minutes), and Raleigh.”
Reason #7
“Location Location Location: It amazed us that points of interest could be reached from Tuscany Ridge more easily than along routes 15/501 or 54 from many points in Chapel Hill and Carrboro (especially during rush hour)! Of course, Maple View Farms ice cream was right around the corner, which is probably what tipped the scales!”
Reason #8
“In a nutshell, we chose Tuscany Ridge because it is a tasteful unique combination of features that are important to us: it is private, yet has a sense of community; naturally tranquil, and yet convenient to work, school, and other points of interest.”
Reason #9
“We wanted quiet, wooded surroundings and Tuscany Ridge fulfills this, coupled with the convenience of being within 15 minutes of just about any convenience we could want or need. This is the best of both worlds and we call it "paradise!"
Reason #10
“We wanted a custom neighborhood, where every house is unique. So far that is true also. I don't think there are too many neighborhoods that are like this. For us it was a real find - just what we wanted.”
Reason #11
“Living and commuting/traveling from Tuscany Ridge is quite the opposite from "far away from everything. Since we are not "in town", we very seldom see traffic or traffic hold-ups, so time spent traveling to various things is consistent. Many times we will be going into town and see the traffic "backed up" on the other side of the road.”
Reason #12
“the stores are 10 minutes away, - Home Depot, Wal Mart, etc, but it is always 10 minutes away. If you are closer to town, or in town, there the commute can be 5 minutes one day and 20 minutes the next.”
Reason #13
“The richness of our surroundings - no noise, beautiful surroundings, timeless, not artificial, homes - has far outweighed the loss of a McDonalds, the Gas Station, and the Subway on the corner.”
Reason #14
“We find 50% of what we need 10 minutes door-to-door and the other 50% 15 minutes drive. The drive from Southern Village to hwy 40 contained 13 lights and 15 minutes in stop-and-go traffic that we found we would rather avoid and instead enjoy being in motion to our destination.”
Reason #15
“Waterstone, a 337 acre retail center that will be approximately the size of South Point mall and surrounding shopping centers is currently under construction inside 10 minutes from our door. We find everything we need within 15 minutes now, but Waterstone will provide boutique retail (Starbucks, etc.), restaurants, big-box retail (best buy, barnes and noble, etc.), hotel, community center, banks, and other community centric shops all in one location without having to pass through one light or wait in traffic.”
